About
LetThemBe.kids helps families protect children's privacy and reclaim presence in a world that turns childhood into data.
We publish practical resources for parents—guides on what's actually happening to kids' online data, honest reviews of apps worth trusting, and realistic steps that are practical to implement while staying principled about protecting children's privacy. We also build alternatives: apps designed for play, not extraction.
Who's Behind This
I'm a father of three daughters, a longtime privacy advocate, and a twenty-year software engineer. I've seen how the industry operates from the inside—and I'm building what I wish existed for my own family.
Our Core Values
These core values drive every decision we make.
Kids Are Not Products
Children should never be mined for data, profiled, or turned into advertising targets. Their childhood is not a business model.
Privacy by Default
We treat privacy as a fundamental right, not a feature or marketing checkbox. No tracking, no behavioral analysis, no selling access to family moments—ever.
Trust Above All
We earn trust through radical transparency, consistent ethics, and by never putting our interests above a family's safety or peace of mind.
Technology Should Serve, Not Consume
Tools should support real family presence and connection—not hijack attention, manufacture addiction, or replace human moments. Technology must know its place and protect space for what matters most.
Value Before Revenue
We only make money by delivering clear, meaningful value. Our business model is built on subscriptions for useful tools—not surveillance, ads, or exploiting parental anxiety.
Kids shouldn't be the product. Childhood shouldn't be monetized.
